MONTECITO REHABILITATION CENTER
Concept for a substance abuse treatment center in Montecito, California. The idea behind the designs is to intertwine nature and architecture and use them as a therapeutic tool to work in harmony with the existing therapies offered at the facility. The design incorporates organic, natural and biophilic forms throughout the space to create a zen environment to relax and free the mind. Reclaimed wood and concrete are the two main materials used in juxtaposition. The wood brings in a warm and inviting effect while the concrete is used to cool the space due to California weather.
